Zack Snyder talks "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," the development of Henry Cavill as Superman and how "un-fun" it isn't to film one of the biggest movies on earth. USA Today posted the first photo of Henry Cavill in his Superman suit and spoke to Snyder himself about the film. The photo is second to the very first photo released of Ben Affleck as Batman on May 13.

Snyder describes this new film as "thicker, denser and more epic than Man of Steel." "Man of Steel was all about Superman finding his place in the world as both a hero and as a man," Snyder continues. "[He] ultimately saving the city of Metropolis from certain doom. Dawn of Justice continues to immerse him on Earth by working at the Daily Planet as Clark Kent along with Lois Lane (Amy Adams) and Perry White (Laurence Fishburne). But it also takes him to new environments such as Gotham City and introduces larger threats, including Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg)."

The director also explains that he cannot say how the relationship between Batman and Superman evolves, hence the "v" instead of the "vs." in the title "Batman v. Superman". Having the "v" instead of the "vs." is a way "to keep it from being a straight 'versus' movie, even in the most subtle way." Snyder says that it made sense with "Dawn of Justice" to add Bruce Wayne but because of Christopher Nolan's recent "Dark Knight" Trilogy, he said, "I was in no rush to put Batman in the movie ... But on the other hand it seemed organic the way our story was unfolding to start to feather him in." He added, "It's cooler to see a crusty old Batman beating the snot out of guys."

Zack Snyder has only done a few scenes with Cavill and Affleck together, but he admits, "It's never really been done and it's kinda cool." Snyder also mentioned how Jesse Eisenberg is preparing for his role as villain Lex Luthor and Gal Gadot is "working out and getting buff and ripped" for her role as the Amazonian princess Wonder Woman. "You can talk all you want about other superhero movies, but it's Batman and Superman, let's just be honest," Snyder says. "I don't know how you get bigger than that."

"Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" hits theaters on May 6, 2016.
