Eminem New Album 2013 Songs: New Single 'Berzerk' Tops Sales Chart
Eminem's new single "Berzerk," from his upcoming album Marshall Mathers LP 2, which the rapper released a tease for during the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), already has several million downloads and views.
According to some, no matter the statistics or sales, Eminem's single, "Berzerk" is going to be a hit.
"The sing-song "all night long" chorus of "Berzerk" will bury itself into eardrums, and for a Z100 audience, that's all that matters," Ernest Baker, a blogger, said.
Eminem announced the title of his new album and released a tease of a new single at MTV's VMAs on Sunday night.
The album is said to contain some cheers and jeers of Hollywood's finest. The Kardashian family, Lamar Odom and Kevin Federline are on the jeers side while fellow rappers MC Ren, Public Enemy, Kendrick Lamar and Birdman receive cheers. MMLP2 will be Eminem's first solo album since 2010's Recovery, which was a Grammy award-wiinner.
Eminem also released a track called "Survival" recently. The new song will be featured on Eminem's upcoming new album as well as the highly-anticipated video game, Call of Duty: Ghosts. Liz Rodrigues, a member of the band The New Royales is featured on the song.
Eminem, 40, collaborated with Dr. Dre yet again for the upcoming CD as well as Rick Rubin.
Recently, the 13-time Grammy award-winning rapper has been touring Europe. He recently performed for about 80,000 fans at Slane Castle in Dublin, Ireland. He also spat some rhymes at the Stade De France in St. Denis, France before jetsetting to the U.K. where he performed at Reading Festival on the 24th and the Leeds Festival on Aug. 25.
Eminem's last studio album was a collaboration with fellow Detroit-based rapper Royce da 5'9''. Together, they call themselves Bad Meets Evil and released Hell: The Sequel in 2011. The album featured Bruno Mars on the mainstream hit "Lighters," as well as Mike Epps on "I'm On Everything."
Call of Duty: Ghosts, which features "Survival" will be available in stores Nov. 5.
