Shia LaBeouf Weird Movies & Twitter News: Representative Says Heckling Story Is Fabricated
Shia LaBeouf has been making the news for his antics, but heckling a comedian isn't one of them, according to the actor's rep.
The representative told Just Jared that the allegations about LaBeouf running on stage during the comedian's set at the Ha Ha Cafe Comedy Club in Hollywood are not true.
"The story published by OK! claiming that Shia LaBeouf was thrown out of a comedy club in LA is 100 percent fictional and fabricated," the actor's rep said. "Even though Shia has never set foot in the club, and the manager of the club denied the alleged incident ever occurred, OK! nonetheless published the article after being informed that it was absolutely false. In addition, in this day-and-age of ubiquitous cell phone images, there is not one image of Shia at the club or on stage. In short, the story is complete nonsense."
After his incident at "Cabaret" in July, LaBeouf started getting treatment for his alcohol addiction voluntarily. It was first incorrectly announced that he had entered rehab, E! notes.
"He understands that these recent actions are a symptom of a larger health problem and he has taken the first of many necessary steps towards recovery," his rep said earlier. "There will be no further comments made at this time."
In mid-July, Christy Carlson Romano, who played LaBeouf's older sister on Disney Channel show "Even Stevens," said that she believed the actor would make it through these difficult times.
"I think he's such a talented person," she said, according to Fox News. "I think he's going to be fine."
The actress added that she thought men had an easier time getting their lives back together after scandals.
"Men seem to be able to come through of whatever they have going on publicly much easier than female actresses," she said. "He's just so talented, too, that I think everyone will be able to push forward through whatever it is he's going to be going through in the future, too. But then again, what do I know? I'm not exactly an expert, I'm just somebody who knew him at the time that I knew him for."
