Although the National Basketball Association regular season doesn't begin until October, the offseason has brought us thrilling trades and decisions. The New York Knicks have been redoing their staff and roster thanks to Phil Jackson and the future looks good.

The Knicks still have a lot of work to do, however. Here are five more managerial decisions the Knicks may want to consider this offseason.

Forget Kevin Love

Love is either going to the Cleveland Cavaliers or he's playing with the Minnesota Timberwolves for another season. Although Love has two years remaining on his contract, he has an opt-out option and can leave after next season. That's too big of a risk for a player who has already expressed his desire to play with LeBron James. Outside of finance and contracts, Love and Carmelo Anthony wouldn't be the most dynamic defensive group.

Trade Amare Stoudemire

Stoudemire arrived in New York before Anthony did. He played pretty good and the team won games. However, when Anthony came along the team started to lose. When Stoudemire got injured and Anthony was given the keys the next year, the Knicks were again successful. For whatever reason, these two just don't play well together as the Knicks have a losing record with both starting the same games. Trading away Stoudemire might be the best option to unleash Anthony.

Try to Get Rajon Rondo

Jose Calderon is a decent point guard, who does hold the record for most career assist by an NBA player born in Spain. However, he is aging and his scoring abilities are limited. The Boston Celtics drafted point guard Marcus Smart No. 8 overall in the draft and they may be ready to move on from the Rondo era. Rondo has been battling injuries lately, but his upside his huge and the risk is well worth it.

Throw in a Bid For Michael Beasley

Beasley's playing time has been decreasing for years and he's ready to play. There was once a time when this standout at Kansas State was considered one of the best young talents in the basketball world. Beasley has been an NBA journeyman playing for the Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Phoenix Suns. Beasley and the Knicks would be a great fit on the court.

Sign Leandro Barbosa

The "Brazilian Blur" is currently a free agent after playing his 2014 season with the Suns. Barbosa is a very talented and skilled player who can play point guard and shooting guard. He's also a physical player who can play defense, as well. It's unlikely the Knicks will bring back Metta World Peace for his physicality. If the Knicks were to make an offer for Barbosa, it wouldn't have to be very large.
