A select group of American cities will enjoy shows by two of music's well-known artists. Rihanna and Eminem launched their "Monster" tour Thursday night.

According to USA Today, the duo performed for a packed Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena, California. They performed various well-known songs to a cheering crowd, both signing together and taking turns on the stage to dazzle the many fans present.

Rihanna sang famous songs like "Talk That Talk," "Rude Boy," "Umbrella" and "Pour it Up," according to USA Today, and both were backed by eight dancers as well as a live band. The pair also shared duets on stage like "Love the Way You Lie," which both originally sang together. However, they also took on other singers' roles: Eminem sang Jay Z's lyrics from "Run This Town," and Rihanna took Dido's in "Stan."

Many have anticipated the mini-tour since it was announced earlier this year, reports HipHopDx.

"This August, Eminem and Rihanna will be co-headlining a series of stadium shows for The Monster Tour," Eminem's website says. "The tour will kick off in Los Angeles on Thursday, August 7 at the Rose Bowl with shows then lined up in New York City's Metlife Stadium on Saturday, August 16 and Detroit's Comerica Park on Friday, August 22."

The duo sang a 50-song set, according to Rolling Stone, and opened with the song "Numb," a collaboration between the two. While Rihanna wowed the crowd with her dancing and gyrations, Eminem impressed with his rapping skills, shooting out lyrics with great precision.

The show ended with Rihanna thanking the crowd for "rocking out with your c*ck out" while Eminem gave his thanks by showing the crowd two middle fingers.
