The 2014 National Football League preseason has officially begun, and fantasy football players everywhere are selecting their squad.

Of course, the highest profile NFL players, like Peyton Manning and Adrian Peterson, will go high, but there's other great players out there, as well.

There's still a lot of talented players outside of the first round who can get you a great deal of fantasy points. Here are five players you should consider in fantasy football in the later rounds:

Mark Ingram Jr.

The former first round draft pick from Alabama is expected to get more carries this season than ever before. Ingram played great last season averaging 4.9 yards per carry, but a leg injury kept him on the sidelines. Opposing defenses will be focusing so much on Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints high-powered passing attack, which should open the door for Ingram. Darren Sproles is also now with Philadelphia Eagles, so Ingram has a bigger responsibility.

Chris Johnson

The days of Chris Johnson rushing for 2,000 yards, and being considered an elite running back are over. However, he's still a consistent back who delivers. Johnson has the league's longest tenured 1,000 rushing yard streak, having done so the last six years. He's accomplished that all six years of his career. The New York Jets may not be heavy Super Bowl favorites, but they do have a good offensive line. The only concern for Johnson is: can he run effectively outdoors in the cold weather?

Antonio Brown

Antonio Brown is probably the most underrated wide receiver in the NFL. Last season, he caught 1,499 yards and eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark for the second time in the last three seasons. This sixth round pick has increased his touchdown production every single season he has played, and they face the NFC South this season. With Mike Wallace and Emmanuel Sanders both off the team, Brown is expected to get more passes thrown his way than ever before.

Jordan Reed

Last season was awful for the Washington Redskins as they finished 3-13, good enough for last place in the NFC East. Their fans did, however, get to watch tight end Jordan Reed emerge. As a rookie last year, Reed caught almost 500 yards on a team that limped through the season. This year, DeSean Jackson will be their deep threat, and Reed will be open within 10 yards for Robert Griffin III to throw to on a consistent basis.

Reggie Bush

In all honesty, Reggie Bush doesn't get enough credit. A lot of people thought he would be a draft bust coming out of USC, but he's proved the doubters wrong. The last three seasons, Bush has run for a combined 3,078 yards and has 1,094 receiving yards. That's 4,172 yards and 22 touchdowns from scrimmage. Can we give some love to Bush, please? Bush has already shown he can play very well in this Detroit Lions system, so there's no reason to worry.
