Time Magazine's Most Infleuntial Teen List 2014: Kendall, Kylie Jenner Ranked Among Top 25 Teens
"Keeping up With the Kardashian" stars Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner have been ranked No. 17 in Time Magazine's 25 Most Influential Teens List, Mirror Online reports.
Time Magazine published the the list on Monday naming Lorde, Jaden Smith, Malala Yousafzai, Mo'Ne Davis and Sasha and Malia Obama among the top 25 influential teens on its list.
Time's reasoning for choosing the controversial Jenner sisters to be part of its list is because of their joint clothing and nail polish lines as well as their recently published and wildly successful dystopian young-adult novel, "Rebels: City of Indra: The Story of Lex and Livia."
Time Magazine also notes that the sisters have also garnered success with their own solo ventures. Kendall Jenner, 18 has proven herself to be a successful runway model, and Kylie, 17, has had success with her hair extension line and progressive career into the world of acting.
Despite the sisters success in business and online -- Mirror notes that the girls have over 27 million Instagram followers combined -- social media users have slammed Time Magazine for its decision to place the Jenner sisters on its list and ranking them above Nobel Peace Prize winner, Malala Yousafzai.
Yousafzai was only ranked No. 18 on Time's list despite her remarkable Nobel Peace Prize accolade and her efforts to " promote girls' education, help Syrian refugee children and demand the return of the Nigerian girls kidnapped by Boko Haram," through her organization Malala Fund, reads Time's description of the young innovator.
Time also notes that Yousafzai also received an honorary doctorate in civil law from the University of King's College in Canada.
Following the unveiling of Time's Influential Teen List, social media users took to Twitter to express their anger towards Time's ranking of the Jenner sisters, the Daily Mail reports.

So far, the Jenner sisters and Time Magazine have yet to respond to the backlash.
