NFL Team Football Schedule & Predictions 2014: 5 Teams Who Must Win Week 10 Games
Welcome to another edition of "teams who must win."
The 2014 NFL season is already nine weeks complete and we've already witnessed some amazing comebacks, thrilling diving catches and disappointing performances so far. With every game becoming so critical down the stretch, there are a handful of must-win games every week.
Here are five teams that must win their Week 10 games:
1. Baltimore Ravens
After losing Week 1 to the Cincinnati Bengals, the Baltimore Ravens went on a tear. The Ravens would win five of their next six games to improve to 5-2 overall, and they took complete control of the AFC North. Steve Smith looked like he was in the prime of his career, back in his Carolina Panthers playing days. Unfortunately, the Ravens have lost their last two games against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Bengals. Quarterback Joe Flacco has been in a slump lately throwing five interceptions in his last three games. This week the Ravens face the Tennessee Titans at home. At 5-4, the Ravens have to win this game and avoid a three-game losing streak.
2. Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos lost their second game of the season in Week 9 against the New England Patriots. No need to panic, as the Broncos did lose to the Patriots last season and still got the No. 1 seed in the AFC. The Broncos have already played much of their tough competition thus far, and should be able to finish with a 13-3 record, for a third consecutive season. The Broncos face the 0-8 Oakland Raiders in Week 10. The game will be played in Oakland, but this should be an easy win for Peyton Manning and the Broncos.
3. Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys have lost their last two games after starting the season 6-1. Quarterback Tony Romo is battling a back injury, and his status for Week 10 is still uncertain. Regardless, it shouldn't matter. The Cowboys take on the 1-8 Jacksonville Jaguars in London, England. There's no shame in losing to the 7-1 Arizona Cardinals, but a loss to the Jaguars would be devastating. Running back DeMarco Murray has to get going again, and backup quarterback Brandon Weeden has to improve his play. Expect Dez Bryant to get more touches in this game.
4. Seattle Seahawks
This year's Seattle Seahawks club has already matched the loss total of last season -- three. Richard Sherman got his first interception of the season last week against the Raiders as the Seahawks improved to 5-3. The Arizona Cardinals lead the NFC West with seven victories, and the Seahawks have to win this week against the New York Giants. The Seahawks will be playing at home against the Giants, a very long road trip for Tom Coughlin and Big Blue. A 6-3 record is a lot better than 5-4 after nine games of play.
5. Pittsburgh Steelers
The AFC North has been the most exciting division in the NFL this season. The Bengals lead the division with a 5-2-1 record, but the Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers and Ravens all have winning records as well. The Steelers have won their last three consecutive games with victories over the Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans and Ravens. The Steelers face the 1-8 New York Jets this week, and they should be able to get a win. Ben Roethlisberger has been playing on another level right now with 14 touchdowns and zero interceptions in the last three games.
