South Africa and Ivory Coast will play each other on Sunday, Nov. 30, in an international friendly exhibition game.

These two CAF teams want to end 2014 on a good note and prove to everyone who the best African National Team truly is. The annual Nelson Mandela Challenge has been a tradition in South Africa since South Africa defeated Zambia in 1994, 2-1. Last year Nigeria blanked South Africa 2-0 with Uche Nwofor scoring both goals.

Let's see who has the edge in this game.

South Africa

South Africa is ranked No. 57 in the world. Algeria is the top ranked African squad at No. 18. Until 1994, South Africa had never participated (mostly because of politic) at the FIFA World Cup, but in recent years improvements have been made. Since 1998 South Africa has qualified for three World Cups, including 2010 when they were the host.

The last time South Africa faced Ivory Coast was in the 2011 Nelson Mandela Challenge, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

South Africa hasn't played a friendly exhibition match since May, when they tied against New Zealand, 0-0. Tokelo Rantie leads South Africa's young offense. Head coach Ephraim Mashaba is managing South Africa for the first season, and he has plenty of confidence his squad.

Team captain Dean Furman leads the middle fielders along with 32-year-old Reneilwe Letsholonyane. Furman currently plays for the Doncaster Rovers and played in last year's Africa Cup of Nations. Goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa was recently buried after being tragically killed on Oct. 26 in his own home. Brilliant Khuzwayo is expected to start in goal.

South Africa's best defender, Anele Ngcongca, will not be playing in this game.

Ivory Coast

The Ivory Coast National Team is currently ranked No. 24 in the world, and No.3 in CAF. Similar to South Africa, Ivory Coast struggled to make a global presence on soccer's biggest stage in the 20th century. However, Ivory Coast has successfully qualified for the last three FIFA World Cup games.

Manager Herve Renard is also coaching his first year with his current national team. In their last international friendly in October, Ivory Coast tied with Zambia, 1-1. Ivory Coast's most talented forward, Salomon Kalou, will not be playing, and goalkeeper Diallo Ismael Jean Chester is expected to start in net instead of Boubacar Barry.

Ivory Coast has a strong defensive unit led by Didier Zokora, Kolo Toure and Siaka Tiene. Team captain and Liverpool middle fielder Yaya Toure is also not scheduled to play in this game.

Schedule, Where to Watch

South Africa faces Ivory Coast on Sunday, Nov. 30, at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit, South Africa. The game is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. EST, and 3 p.m. South African time. You can view a live game stream here.

Prediction

Ivory Coast has a stronger squad on paper, but South Africa would love to end their Nelson Mandela Challenge drought, which dates back to 2009. Playing for teammate and friend Senzo Meyiwa should inspire this squad for a home victory.

South Africa wins 3-2
