A source close to William Levy and Elizabeth Gutierrez has confirmed that the two have split up, People En Español reports.

When the actors were contacted by the publication, they didn't deny the rumors. As a matter of fact, their comments reinforced the rumors.

Levy, who has been Uruguay in the past week, asked for respect.

"What decision we make as a couple is between us," he said. "All I ask is respect for her and my children."

Gutierrez wouldn't say anything to the online magazine, but through her social media account came what is perhaps the most telling piece of information.

"Never regret anything, especially if you did it for love!!!" she said, which many believe is her way of confessing that the couple is no longer together.

Univision's "Sal Y Pimienta" recently shared a video of Levy walking away from an interviewer after being asked about the status of his relationship with Gutierrez.

Relationship trouble started to resurface on Halloween when Gutierrez's show "Brujas" debuted in Miami. Levy was not there to support her. Instead, he was seen at a Gente de Zona concert, according to HuffPost Voces.

Following this, Levy posted a mysterious message on Twitter that drove many to believe that there was trouble between him and Gutierrez.

"Tomorrow when you know the news, I hope you know how to respect it," he said.

The Cuban actor did not share any news the day after that message and many fans were left wondering what the obscure tweet could mean.

Levy appeared on a People En Español's "La Esquina." On the show, Levy looked at photos and footage from his career. He looked at images and videos of himself with Gutierrez, but he didn't say much about the mother of his children.

For example, when shown footage of "Protagonistas de Novela 2," the actor just said that this was where he met Gutierrez, and then he just moved on to the next topic.
