Fantasy Football 2014 Rankings, Sleepers & Week 15 Waiver Wire: Top 5 NFL Players to Pick Up This Week
Week 15 of the 2014 NFL Fantasy Football season is here.
As we all know, staying on top of your waiver wire is key to winning your Fantasy Football league. As the season comes to an end, time is becoming more and more limited for Fantasy Football owners to win their league. This week receivers are thriving in the waiver wire.
Here are five players you should consider signing off the waiver wire for Week 15:
1. Johnny Manziel
If you're having quarterback problems, it might be time to take a risk and go with Johnny Manziel. Despite the Cleveland Browns actually having a winning record in December, Brian Hoyer has been playing awful lately. Hoyer has just one touchdown and eight interceptions in his last four games, and the Browns have lost three of those four games. With their playoff hopes pretty much gone, it just might be Manziel time. Manziel has never started an NFL game in his career, but he's capable of putting together good passing statistics and big rushing yards. The Browns will face the Cincinnati Bengals at home next week.
2. Jarius Wright
The 6-7 Minnesota Vikings haven't had much to brag about this season, but an overtime victory in Week 14 was satisfying. Jarius Wright scored the game-winning 87-yard touchdown to defeat the New York Jets. Wright now has the second-most receiving yards on the Vikings this season with 478, and he also has 44 rushing yards. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is going to have to trust Wright going forward, especially without Adrian Peterson on the field.
3. Kerwynn Williams
The Arizona Cardinals have been one of the worst rushing teams in the NFL this season, ranking 30th in league. To make things worse, Andre Ellington is out for the season with a sports hernia injury. Kerwynn Williams was fantastic in his debut with 19 carries and 100 rushing yards. Not bad at all for a former seventh round draft pick who was playing in his first game. The Cardinals face their NFC West rival St. Louis Rams next game, and they know this is a must-win game if they want to keep that No. 1 seed in the NFC.
4. Eric Decker
The New York Jets have been a big disappointment this season at 2-11, and it appears as if signing Eric Decker to a $36 million contract was a bit much. Still, Decker has done his job as he leads the Jets in receiving yards with 620. Jeremy Kerley has the second most receiving yards on the Jets with just 322. Decker also has twice the amount of touchdown catches as anyone on the Jets this season, and his 55 receptions lead the team, as well. Next week, the Jets face the 2-11 Tennessee Titans, who have lost seven straight games.
5. Kenny Stills
The New Orleans Saints have been the most disappointing team in the league this season at 5-8. Still, the Saints offense ranks third overall in yards gained, and ninth in points scored. Second year wide receiver Kenny Stills has been playing great this year, and a game against the mediocre Chicago Bears defense should set up perfectly for Fantasy Football owners in Week 15. Surprisingly, Stills is the leading receiver on the Saints this season with more yards than Jimmy Graham and Marques Colston.
