Cameron Diaz Engaged: Actress Wears Two Different Rings on Ring Finger; Is She Really Engaged?
Cameron Diaz was spotted wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring on her left ring finger at a red carpet event and, days later, there was an entirely different ring on the same finger, making it confusing to know which ring is the real deal or if she's actually engaged, Inquisitr reported.
Rumors circulated that the "Annie" actress was newly engaged to former Good Charlotte band member Benji Madden and seeing Diaz's adorned finger on the red carpet appeared to serve as a confirmation to the rumors.
Inquisitr further reported that Diaz's two rings have made followers very opinionated about the rumors. The site looks at a Gawker article to prove its point.
"Does anyone think she's really interested in marriage – as opposed to just collecting some fun bling?" Jerry Netherland, a Gawker commenter, said, according to the Inquisitr. "She's always struck me as the kind of gal who really has no interest in matrimony – and I like that about her."
Another Gawker follower said, "I think Diaz takes the attitude that she'll do it if it happens along, and it's no big deal if it doesn't. Also I'm a little surprised that apparently Benji Madden happened along."
Diaz has been an eligible bachelorette for more than 20 years, Gawker reported.
Us Weekly reports that Madden asked for Diaz's hand in marriage after seven months of dating and witnesses say the 42-year-old actress has been seen looking extremely happy a few days after being spotted with her engagement ring on.
"Everyone thinks it's wild, but we are so happy for them," an insider said about the engagement to Us Weekly.
"Benji tends to fall in love easily, but this time it's for real and he landed a great girl. They obviously both make each other incredibly happy, and there's nothing better than that."
Benji's sister-in-law, Nicole Richie, is the one who hooked them up and said she approves of anything that brings joy to his life.
