'Lo Imperdonable' Star Ana Brenda Contreras to Make a Return to Music in 2015
Ana Brenda Contreras has been dedicating herself to acting in the last few years, but the 28-year-old star is ready to take on music once again.
"I'm in meetings this week to come back with everything," she said, according to TV Notas. "I am meeting with some producers next week. ... But it's complicated. Many people don't know that I started in music in a reality show when I was 15 years old. I would love to [take it on once again] and I don't want to leave it by the wayside."
In 2002, Contreras participated in the reality show "Popstars," where she ended up becoming part of the group T' D Tila.
The actress also wants to be a part of the process, and she says she is talking to composers.
"I like writing, but I'm not an expert," she said. "I am talking to people who know how to capture my ideas, my life and my experiences and put them into song."
Even if she doesn't end up working on an album in 2015, Contreras will be plenty busy. She will be working on "Lo Imperdonable." The Salvador Mejía telenovela is inspired by "La Mentira."
In November, Contreras spoke to Televisa Espectáculos about the role, according to People En Español.
"It's always nerve-racking embodying a new character because I start to realize during shooting that, for example, there are things that I've picked up that I have to start dropping," she said. "Or all of a sudden, there are new things I discover, and it's all a journey, a learning experience."
Ivan Sanchez will be starring alongside Contreras, notes Hola. Jencarlos Canela and Fernando Colunga were reportedly considered for the role.
