Ja Rule has big plans since being released from prison, the most interesting of which is the rapper's plan to write a cookbook based on the tasty recipes he crafted in microwaves while behind bars, Page Six reports.

According to Page Six, a division of New York Post, the "Always on Time" rapper appeared on "Food Talk," Geoffrey Zakarian's Sirius XM radio show. Celebrity chefs Bobby Flay, Guy Fieri and Marcus Samuelsson were in the studio when Ja Rule showed up to announce that he would soon be one of them.

"He explained that while behind bars he learned to cook anything and everything in a microwave," a Page Six spy said.

Ja Rule enjoyed microwaved versions of cheesecake and lasagna while in prison. He and his creative jail mates opted to cook themselves in order to avoid cafeteria food.

"I ate everything. In jail, they're pretty crafty," Ja Rule told TMZ. "We made lasagna. We made cheesecakes. We had lots of things. I really didn't eat prison food. I didn't go to the chow line too much. We usually just cooked in our dorm. Yeah, yeah, we cooked our own stuff. So what we made was pretty decent. It wasn't bad."

The 37-year-old rapper, who first gained fame with his 1999 single "Holla Holla," does not knock the prison system's menu, however. According to Ja Rule, protein was the prison chefs' specialty.

"Protein. Eat a lot of protein," Ja Rule said. "Eat a lot of fish, a lot of salmon - [the food inside] is not too good, but you get packages and stuff like that. You can eat pretty good. You can eat decent enough."
