The New England Patriots will definitely have their hands full in quest of the franchise's fourth Super Bowl.

The Seattle Seahawks have the best defense in the NFL, thanks to their strong secondary. This regular season the Seahawks ranked first overall in yard allowed, points allowed, passing yards against and touchdowns allowed. Thanks to Richard Sherman, Byron Maxwell, Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor, the Seahawks have what appears to be an unbeatable secondary.

In last year's Super Bowl, against the Denver Broncos, the Seahawks defense shut down the best offense in NFL history, winning the game 43-8.

The big question in Foxborough now is, Can the Patriots offense find a way to beat the Seahawks defense?

The Patriots have a good offense that accumulated the fourth most points in the league during the regular season. Tom Brady and the Patriots passing attack was effective, but this challenge will be by far their toughest yet. The Patriots don't have an elite wide receiver, but they do get the job done with players on the roster.

Julian Edelman had 92 catches this year, ranking eighth in the NFL. Edelman, who stands just under six feet tall, will be Brady's go to guy. Edelman doesn't catch a lot of touchdowns or big plays down the field, but his high third down catch rate is what will be needed on Super Bowl Sunday.

Brandon LaFell has had a very good first season this year with the Patriots. LaFell had career highs in yards, touchdowns and catches. His most notable play as a Patriot came in the AFC Divisional round when he made the game-winning touchdown catch against the Baltimore Ravens. LaFell has been the best deep threat for the Patriots this season, and he'll be need to stretch the field against the Seahawks. It's unlikely LaFell will have his way against Sherman on the right side, but he creates an interesting matchup with Maxwell on the left side of the field.

And then, there's Robert Gronkowski.

Gronkowski creates a lot of mismatches for opposing defenses because he's so big and he has great hands. There's still no telling just how head coach Bill Belichick will use Gronkowski against the Seahawks. The last time we saw Gronkowski in the Super Bowl he had just two catches for 26 yards against the New York Giants. Gronkowski has caught a touchdown in his last five consecutive games, and it would be very interesting to see him lineup on Sherman one on one.

The threesome of Gronkowski, LaFell and Edelman will be top priority for the Seahawks defense.

Outside of the those three, the Patriots will also have to rely on other talented receivers to help Brady. Lately Danny Amendola has been playing very well. Amendola has had numerous injuries in recent years, but he has been having an impact on special teams and had a great 81-yard, two touchdown performance against the Ravens in the postseason.

Another player to keep an eye on is tight end Tim Wright. Wright was acquired from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers via trade in the regular season. Wright may have had just 26 receptions all season, but six of them were touchdowns. Wright, paired with Gronkowski, create a good tight end duo, especially in the red zone.

Brian Tyms hasn't received much play time this year, and his status for the Super Bowl is still unknown. Tyms has great speed and down field capabilities, but route running and inexperience may keep him inactive.
