Salma Hayek Husband and News: Mexican Actress Enjoys Saint Laurent Menswear Finale in Paris With Vogue Editor Anna Wintour, 'Abduction' Actor Will Peltz
Salma Hayek led the front row pack at the highlight of the Paris menswear show Sunday.
The Award-nominated wife of the luxury heir Francois-Henri Pinault was joined by actor Will Peltz and Vogue magazine editor Anna Wintour at Saint Laurent, The Associated Press reported.
The show posed the question: Has controversial designer Hedi Slimane, who everyone loves to hate and hates to love, finally been vindicated?
Sunday's fall-winter menswear 2015 shows had reports from Paul Smith, Lanvin and Saint Laurent.
Saint Laurent's Franco-Tunisian designer Hedi Slimane was criticized during the show. The designer was accused for throwing out the YSL heritage in his debut collection for the reverend Parisian back in 2012.
Hedi went punk and dropped the "Yves" from the brand name.
Yet, the fall-winter season is common to hear the phrase, "That's quite Hedi Slimane." The house is popular on the catwalk as well as the streets.
A great highlight of the show featured super thin skinny retro pants that stood out in the collection.
Slimane featured punk rock leopard-print sweaters with skinny black jeans in his '70s-themed section which looked very similar to last season's.
The Lanvin show featured oversize car coats and loose double-breasted jackets. There were a series of layered-suit looks which looked like a coat on top of a coat.
For the '70s look, he featured high-waist pants with large jackets.
The Paul Smith's Déjà Vu section featured double-breasted suits as well. The 1950s look was mimicked with coats that had exaggerated shoulders.
Paul Smith's collection featured suit jackets that were fit for a modern-day Film Noir. Many of the designs had square shoulders. There were clothes that look like the Rolling Stones' Mick Jagger would wear.
Reports say Paul Smith's collection was one of the best looks on the catwalk for the 2015 menswear show in Paris.
