While fans are anxiously awaiting her comeback, Missy Elliott has lately been working hard on her new music assisted by Timbaland, as well as Diplo.

It has been just over a week since the Virginia emcee gave a surprise performance of her smash hits "Get Ur Freak On (2001)," "Work It (2002)" and "Lose Control (2005)" alongside halftime show entertainer Katy Perry at this year's Super Bowl.

Elliott took to her Twitter account on Feb. 10 to confirm her collaboration with her longtime friend and producer, a.k.a. Thomas Crown:

Timbo then shared a snapshot of himself with the "Supa Dupa Fly" rapper and A$AP Ferg via Instagram on Feb. 12, taken in the recording studio:

On the same day, the Harlem native also Instagrammed a photo, posing with the hip-hop duo:

In addition, Diplo and fellow EDM star Skrillex (Jack Ü) teased upcoming remix version of their Kiesza collaboration "Take Ü There" featuring Elliott, on Snapchat (via Your EDM).

If Missy Elliott decides to release a new studio album, it will be her first since 2005's "The Cookbook."

She also tweeted to @gengarspice: "I won't drop anything until I feel it in my spirit that it's a game changer but my old joints still 20 yrs ahead."
