One boy at an Edmond, Oklahoma high school wanted every girl to feel special for Valentine's Day. To do so, he got every single girl–more than 1,000 in his high school–a Valentine's Day card and candy.

"All the girls were surprised this morning," student Laura Pitcock told KFOR in Oklahoma City.

Each Valentine's Day card, called a Valegram had the same message and every girl at the school got one.

The Valegram said: "Remember there will always be people who care about you and I will always be one of them, Love, Anonymous."

"He wanted to stay anonymous, but I have a feeling a good deed like this is going to get out," student Sarah Cameron told the station.

Sarah was right because it did get out. Students figured out it was Dan Williams, an Eagle Scout and a senior at Edmond High School.

Williams was given a proper thank you for his deed when the girls of the school created a giant "thank you" card for him.

The sign read: "Dear Anonymous, we thank you for the Valegrams, Love, EMHS Girls."

Williams told KFOR that he worked the entire summer to save up for all the candy and cards he purchased for the 1,076 girls at Edmond Memorial High School.

"To know that someone cares about them, that's the best feeling in the world I think," Williams said.

One student told KFOR that Williams' gesture was "just the sweetest ever, I'm sure he's going to have all the girls coming for him now."

Williams was not trying to get a date or attract any special attention to himself; he was just trying to perform a good deed on a special day.

Williams told KFOR reporters that he did not forget his mother -- she received the first Valentine's Day gift he bought this year.
