Olympics USA swimmer Michael Phelps posted an Instagram photo of his new fiancée, letting the world know that he is now engaged to his long time on-again, off-again girlfriend.

He captioned the photo, "She said yes (smiling face emojis) @nicole.m.johnson (Photo credit to @arschmitty."

Phelps and Nicole Johnson, who was Miss California in 2010, lied down hugging in the glistening show as her new diamond ring shined as bright as their smiles.

The engagement comes at a time that Phelps is completing his six-month suspension from USA swimming for his second time DUI arrest, ESPN reports. The 18-time Olympic gold medalist pleaded guilty to his charges and was placed on probation.

His attorney said he enrolled in Alcoholics Anonymous and continued his therapy in his hometown Maryland.

He was named athlete of the year by USA Swimming despite his suspension.

Back in 2012, Phelps stopped training after the London Olympics while admitting that he was ready for retirement.

Yet, the swimmer, who won a record eight gold medals at the 2008 Beijing Games, resumed training in 2013 and began competing again in 2014 in Mesa.

Since his major international win at the London Olympics, Phelps won three gold medals and two silver medals at the Pan Pacific Championships in Australia.

Michael Phelps started swimming at the age of seven. He was afraid to put his head under the water, so his instructor allowed him to float around on his back. In the future, the first technique he mastered was the back stroke.

He began his official swimming career at the Loyola High School pool after seeing swimmers Tom Malchow and Tom Dolman compete at the 1995 Summer Games in Atlanta.

Sadly, Phelps is banned from the world championships in Russia for the summer, but he plans to compete at the Rio Games.

If he is ever charged with a DUI again, he could be put in jail.
