Hugh Jackman Cancer Selfie: Wife Told Actor to Get Nose Checked
Hugh Jackman posted a selfie on Instagram where he sports a bandage over his nose with the caption "Deb said to get the mark on my nose checked. Boy she was right!" The "Wolverine" star was referring to his wife Deborra-Lee Furness, who urged him to get a growth on his nose examined by a doctor. When he finally listened, doctors diagnosed him with basal cell carcinoma.
Basal Cell Carcinoma is a form of skin cancer that may also appear as a red or pale lump on your body. Not too worry Hugh Jackman fans! This form of cancer is not the most dangerous one and Jackman got to it in time for it to simply just be removed. He posted the photo on Instagram to actually urge fans to be aware of things like this. "Please don't be foolish like me. Get yourself checked...and use sunscreen". Jackman didn't explain how he acquired the growth on his nose but he was very concerned about others not letting simple bumps slip by.
If you look closely, in recent photos of Hugh Jackman, you will notice a sort of scratch on his nose. One would guess it's just a scratch he probably got from an itch he had while in "wolverine" gear. Those claws are pretty sharp so it could of been possible that he simply just accidently scratched his nose. But no, we were all wrong, even Hugh, who with his busy schedule didn't pay much mind to the lump.
Today, he is thankful for his righteous wife, who we are sure wouldn't leave him alone about the weird lump. You see men? You accuse us of nagging all the time but most of the time, we are on to something. I'm sure Deb is getting a great Christmas gift this year.
