The two upcoming live-action "Attack on Titan" films will open on Aug. 1 and Sept. 19, according to Anime News Network. The first full trailer was released Friday.

"Attack on Titan" director Shinji Higuchi confirmed that the films are being edited for completion in mid-June. He added that "Attack on Titan" manga creator Hajime Isayama is helping with the plot while Yuusuke Watanabe is writing the script.

Watanabe has worked on projects such as "Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods," live-action "Gantz," "Gantz II: Perfect Answer," "20th Century Boys," and "Gatchaman."

"Attack on Titan" live-action films will be based on the world and characters of the manga while new characters and new formidable enemies will be added to the story. Isayama's manga is about the battles between humans and giants who now rule the world outside human's enclaves.

There will be seven new characters added to the film versions of the story.

The original "Attack On Titan" manga has inspired four spinoff manga, an anime TV show that aired in 2013, and two compilation films. A second season of the TV show will air in 2016.

Live-action films "Attack on Titan" stars Haruma Miura as Eren, Kiko Mizuhara as Mikasa, Kanata Hongo as Armin, Satomi Ishihara as Hans/Hanji, Nanami Sakuraba as Sasha, Takahiro Miura as Jean, Hiroki Hasegawa as Shikishima, Ayame Misaki as Hiana and more.

According to Christian Today, the first ever arcade game based on "Attack On Titan" will be released sometime before the second season of anime TV series. The game is still in its early stages of development but more information will be released in the summer.
