'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' Star Kandi Burruss Allegedly Faking Marital Problems for Spinoff Show [Pics]
"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kandi Burruss is allegedly faking her marital problems with Todd Tucker for their own spin-off series, Straight from the A reports.
On the current season of "RHOA," Burruss and Tucker have been filmed attending marriage counseling sessions to mend the issues in their relationship.
However, Straight from the A claims that this is all a sham to create more of a storyline for the couple's new show, "Meet the Tuckers."
WetPaint notes that Burruss recently posted an Instagram photo of herself taping a confessional segment for a new show.
Although she did not reveal the name of the show, WetPaint speculates the confessional is for her spinoff series.
Prior to getting her own show, Burruss partnered with Bravo for other spinoffs about her life, including "The Kandi Factory," which chronicled Burruss' search for the next big music sensation. She also took part in "Kandi's Wedding," a reality show that chronicled Burruss' journey to becoming a married woman.
So far, Bravo has ordered three episodes of the spinoff show, according to Straight From the A. If the show does well, Bravo will extend the series.
"Meet the Tuckers," which has reportedly been filming for weeks now, will follow the lives of Burruss, daughter Riley, mother Mama Joyce, Tucker, and Tucker's daughter, Kaela, as they deal with the trials and tribulations of adjusting to life as a new blended family.
News of Burruss' spinoff show on Bravo comes on the heels of her saying that she regrets discussing her marital issues on "RHOA."
Burruss' spoke with Bravo TV two months ago about her regrets revealing, "As soon as Todd and I got married he had to leave for L.A. to start production on his show. We went from being together every day to going weeks without seeing each other. It took some time to adjust."
She added, "Things were tense for a short period of time, but we're great now. I do regret talking about it on TV. I'm a very open person, but I'm learning that it's not always a great idea to be an open book when it comes to your marriage."
