So apparently Jahlil Okafor is a Dallas Cowboys fan, and Tony Romo is a Duke Blue Devils fan.

How or when these fan-ships took place is unknown, especially considering Romo is from California and he went to school in Illinois. Okafor is from Illinois, but somehow he is a fan of the Cowboys.

Whatever the case of their fan routes, Romo and Okafor made a bet last year at a Duke game. Okafor said that he made a "deal" that he would lead Duke to a championship, and that Romo would then have to win a Super Bowl.

Okafor and the Blue Devils recently defeated the Wisconsin Badgers in the NCAA National Championship game, 68-63. That was Duke's fifth Men's college basketball championship.

Romo is obviously a top 10 quarterback in today's NFL, having eclipsed a 90 passer rating in every season of his career, all with the Cowboys. Romo has thrown for 65 touchdowns and just 19 interceptions over the last two seasons. There's no doubt Romo is a quality quarterback, but he isn't without his skeptics.

Although Romo annually puts up some of the best statistics in the league, he only has two playoff victories in his entire career. Romo has never even made it to the third round (conference championship) of the playoffs, let alone win the Super Bowl.

Romo's time is limited to fulfill this promise. He turns 35 years old this month, and he won't have star running back DeMarco Murray this season to hand the ball off to. To make matters potentially more difficult, Dez Bryant may not return next season after he received the franchise tag from Jerry Jones this offseason.

In all fairness to Romo, Okafor never said Romo had to win a Super Bowl this upcoming season, so Romo could win it all in two or three years from now. In addition to time, Okafor also never said Romo had to win a Super Bowl as a member for the Cowboys. Romo has three years left on his contract. He could technically win a Super Bowl on another team, and still carry out his promise to Okafor.

Okafor only played 22 minutes in the championship victory, but he played great down the stretch. Conversely, Romo has been criticized multiple times for not being able to "close the deal" when it matters most with the Cowboys. Adrian Peterson has yet to be reinstated to the NFL, but the Cowboys have been involved in multiple trade rumors with the Minnesota Vikings that could send the 30-year-old running back to the Cowboys.
