Emma Stone & Andrew Garfield Breakup, Relationship News: 'The Amazing Spider-Man' Couple Taking a Break After 3 Years of Dating
After three years in a relationship, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield decided to take a break.
The stars of "The Amazing Spider-Man" and its sequel have taken a break because of the long distance, People reports.
Stone was nominated for Best Supporting Actress this year at the Oscars and Golden Globes. Garfield could not make it to either event because he was too busy shooting the new film "Silence" in Taiwan.
"He's thrown himself in the project to the detriment of all else," the source tells People. "But it's too early to say the relationship is over."
The source explained that Stone completely understands Garfield's work commitments.
"They're both a slave to their schedules," the source said. "This time last year they were privately discussing marriage."
Stone allegedly pulled out of "Cabaret" last year and was only able to do it this year, so that she could work around Garfield's schedule.
"It's one of those situations where only Andrew and Emma quite know if they'll pick up where they left off or they've separated," the source explained.
Yet, another source confirmed that the 31-year-old actor and 26-year-old "Superbad" actress took a temporary break and that it is not an official split.
The source said they are only separated for work while Andrew is overseas and they are just too busy to see each other right now.
Stone and Garfield were last seen together on Jan. 7 in New York City's West Village.
Meanwhile, Stone was spotted at Disneyland just days before the break up rumors were confirmed, Us Weekly reports.
The Oscar nominee visited the park with her brother, Spencer, and a few friends.
Garfield will continue shooting "Silence" in Taiwan.
A source said he is "in a dark place mentally for his performance" and is "not boyfriend material right now."
The Hollywood couple may have not been in a great place when they split, but there is hope that they will rekindle the flame.
