The "Empire" season finale left fans with a lot of questions about Cookie and Jamal fighting for the family business. Meanwhile Lucious Lyon finds his way behind bars for the murder of his ex-wife's cousin.

Season 2 will reveal what will happen to the strong mother-son bond between Jamal and his mom Cookie.

"It was very tough for us -- heartbreaking, even. And that was our intention," showrunner Ilene Chaiken tells TVLine of the mother-son rift.

"But I still believe in that relationship. ... And I would like to think that the underpinnings of that relationship, which is the most profound and tender one in the show, will somehow lead to something of a rapprochement between them."

"Empire" is filled with drama, chaos and power-driven people who will do whatever it takes to get their share of the music empire that started years ago with just a keyboard, a couple in love and talent.

Just as the show brought in a great fan-base, it has gotten backlash for allegedly portraying black people in a bad light.

According to Yahoo! Celebrity, PBS host Tavis Smiley is slamming the hit show for advancing the worst of every problem that black people have, including crime and drug dealing.

Meanwhile, Taraji P. Henson, who plays Cookie on "Empire," is promoting the next season and reveals that her character has now become a big part of her.

"My name is Cookie now. No one really calls me by my name. Cookie has stolen my identity and all of my friends," Henson told E! News.

"I think for the next season I want to see what went on the 17 years she was locked up," she said. 

Rumors say big name stars will make appearances for Season 2 like Oscar-winner Denzel Washington, Oprah Winfrey and Common. "Cookie" also hopes to see Diana Ross, Robert De Niro and Meryl Streep.

Henson will host Saturday Night Live for the first time ever on April 11.
