'Game of thrones' Season 5 Spoilers: Jon Snow Actor Happy His Character Is Still Alive, Sansa Will Handle Being Imprisoned Differently [Watch]
"Game of Thrones" is returning to the small screen Sunday with more blood and more ruthless behavior, Deadline reports.
The hit HBO series is returning for a fifth season, as Tyrion continues to run form King's Landing over the seas and more.
Season 5 has some new additions like Jonathan Pryce, who will play the royally emboldened High Sparrow.
The upcoming season is based on George R. R. Martin's books "A Feast for Crows" and "A Dance with Dragons." After a 10-episode season, fans will not have to say goodbye since a sixth season installment has already been announced.
Cast members are hard at work preparing for the season premiere.
Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow in "Game of Thrones," talked to ABC News about Season 5 admitting that he is happy that his character has managed to stay alive this long.
Although the series is based on Martin's books, the show started to shift away from the original plots so there is no telling who will survive now.
"There are deaths this year, like every other year," he said. "There doesn't seem to be a formula [for who gets killed]."
The cast members don't even know how long they are going to be in the script.
In the last season, Tyrion killed Tywin after he was freed from his cell by Jaime, Huffington Post recalls. Tyrion also killed his lover, Shae, for testifying against him. Then, he killed his own father.
Tyrion was able to escape from King's Landing with the help of Varys. And now fans are wondering if he will be killed in the upcoming season.
Fans also look forward to seeing if Sansa will continue her transformation as a darker Sansa. At the end of last season, she debuted her new look with darkened hair and seductive clothing.
Sansa gets imprisoned again, but this time around, she'll play the game and learn how to seduce the people around her.
Tune into HBO Sunday at 9 p.m. ET to see what happens next in "Game of Thrones."
