Iran Castillo is recovering from a kidnapping that occurred earlier this month. The "Que te Perdone Dios" actress is now going through therapy with her mother after the experience.

Castillo was kidnapped while in Mexico City May 1. The group of kidnappers grabbed her around 10 p.m. and then contacted her mother demanding money for her release. TV Notas reports that the kidnappers allegedly demanded one million dollars as ransom money.

The actress was kidnapped for three days, causing her to miss a scheduled appearance. After being released, Castillo has informed fans following her social media accounts that she is now safe.

Castillo was able to quickly get back to working on her play "Busco al Príncipe Azul Pero soy Daltónica."

Before the premiere of the play, Castillo's kidnapping has been a topic of conversation, TV Notas reports.

Gerardo Quiroz, the producer of the play, spoke about Castillo's kidnapping and how he has supported her dealing with the awful experience.

"Unfortunately, insecurity is reaching us all. I feel sorry for what has happened. I have been in contact with her and her mother and everything is fine, thank God. I don't want to speak about the details, just give her moral support," Quiroz said.

Quiroz has dealt with a kidnapping before and he knows it is an awful experience. Quiroz acknowledges that support is crucial and a good psychological therapist will be needed to help Castillo cope with the pain she experienced.

"It's my understanding that yes she is (taking therapy), just like her mom. It is very necessary. I lived through that years ago. It's horrible for you and your family."

Castillo started her Tuesday with a bottle of Zoe water, which she shared with her fans via Twitter. Recently, she posted about how important music is in her life.

"Good morning!!" she said. "Without music, there's no life."
