'Devious Maids' Season 3 Spoilers, News & Cast: What to Expect During the Upcoming Season
The sizzling hot summertime phenomenon "Devious Maids," starring Roselyn Sanchez, Ana Ortiz, Judy Reyes and Dania Ramirez, will return to the small screen soon, and the third season of the Eva Longoria-produced series will bring fans up-to-date about life after the deadly shooting that took place at Rosie and Spencer's wedding during the finale, which likely left someone dead.
During last season's finale, the sinister character Ty arrived to the long-awaited wedding with a gun, hoping to snuff out Valentina's life. However, there's no telling which cast member was struck by the flying bullets. The premiere of the fresh season will progress several months into the future, so that viewers can see the thoroughgoing effects of the shooting.
The third season of "Devious Maids" will also showcase new twists, turns and additions, including the 28-year-old "Glee" star Naya Rivera's portrayal of newcomer Blanca. In an interview, "Devious Maids" executive producer Sabrina Wind revealed there are exciting things lined up for Blanca during the upcoming season.
"Very quickly, we bring in some of the colors people are more familiar with from Naya," Wind shared with TVLine. She also promised that something "unreal" would happen to the Beverly Hills maid during the second episode, possibly hinting at the fact that Blanca will take a job at the Stappord residence. During her four-episode run, she'll struggle with her employer, become intertwined with the preexisting drama and unearth a haunting secret. Her short duration notwithstanding on the drama series will continue to create buzz far after her departure.
"[Blanca's] going to be working for a new family who seems to be picture perfect -- a family that was from Season 1. They have now adopted a Latina little girl," said Dania Ramirez, who portrays Rosie on the series.
"Devious Maids" will air its Season 3 premiere on Monday, June 1, at 9 p.m. EDT on Lifetime.
