The NBA Finals are set after a terrible set of conference finals series. The Houston Rockets and Atlanta Hawks had just one combined victory in the third round of the playoffs, so fans have some time until the Finals begin.

These two teams are, without a doubt, the two hottest squads over the last month, so this should be an exciting series to the finish. Both teams have their superstar player and new head coach, but the Warriors will come out on top.

Here are five reasons the Warriors will defeat the Cavaliers in the finals.

1. Stephen Curry

It was another incredible season for Stephen Curry. He broke his own record for most 3-point shots made in a single season, this time 286. Curry has now led the NBA in 3-point shots made for the last three consecutive seasons. Oh, yeah, and he was the league MVP this season ahead of Cavaliers superstar LeBron James and James Harden of the Houston Rockets. Curry is also an underrated passer of the basketball who is averaging 6.4 assists per game this postseason. It's tough to play off Curry because he can make outside shots, but opponents must respect his ball distribution skills as well.

2. Home Court Advantage

Of the four major sports, the NBA has the highest home court, home ice or home field win percentage. Controversial officiating may have something to do with that. The Warriors were 39-2 at home during the regular season with losses against the San Antonio Spurs and Bulls. The Warriors are 7-1 at home this postseason with their only loss coming to the Grizzlies in the second round. The Warriors have been by far the best home team in the NBA this season, and if this series goes the distance, Game 7 will be played at Oracle Arena. Warriors fans have proven to be some of the loudest fans in the NBA.

3. Battle Tested

There's no debate on this one. To get to the finals, the Cavaliers went through the Boston Celtics, who didn't even have a winning record, the annually overrated Chicago Bulls, and then the Atlanta Hawks. On the other side, the Warriors eliminated the New Orleans Pelicans, Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets. Every NBA fan knows the Western Conference is superior to the East at the moment, and Steve Kerr has this Warriors team playing at an elite level.

4. Splash Brothers

Defending Curry is tough enough, but the Cavaliers will have to find a way to contain both him and Klay Thompson. Earlier this season, Thompson scored an NBA record 37 points in a quarter against the Sacramento Kings. While Curry made an NBA record 286 3-point shots this regular season, Thompson made the second most perimeter shots in the league with 239. The Cavaliers can't double team Curry too often because of Thompson's elite shooting abilities.

5. Balance

Not many people realize it, but the Warriors didn't just make a large amount of 3-point shots, have the MVP, and a new coach, but they were statistically speaking the most balanced team in the league. The Warriors were No. 1 in offensive efficiency and defensive efficiency during the regular season. The back-court combination of Curry and Thompson will take care of business, but Andrew Bogut is grabbing huge rebounds as well. Even Brazilian forward Leandro Barbosa has been altering opponent shots with his interior defense.
