Fans of the TV series and the Diana Gabaldon's novels know all too well that Season 2 of "Outlander" will be based on the second book of her series, "Dragonfly in Amber," according to Zap2it. But what is unclear is the monumental feat it takes to film such awe-inspiring scenery and recreate the past of an 18th Century society, especially in Paris, France.

That being said, Scotland will be good enough of a location for filming the interior shots for Season 2, but there needs to be sufficient landscape and scenery for the exterior shots. This is particularly true for those that fit the time period. This also includes technology available at the time.

In an interview with Zap2it, showrunner Ron Moore gave a few details about what it will be looking for to fit its filming needs for next season on Starz.

"We're looking for street scenes; a place that looks like Paris in the 18th century. So we looked around and Prague was the closest we could do," the producer told Zap2it. "We're not shooting those scenes yet. We'll shoot them all together, so all the Paris episodes, we'll take out all the street scenes and save them, and then go to Prague once and shoot all those scenes."

But the exterior shots will not just be limited to Prague. They will have other locations around Europe that fit the criteria necessary to successfully film another captivating season that will equally satisfy devoted viewers of the series.

"We're also doing some shooting in the south of England at some other palaces, for interiors and exteriors that would feel sort of like Versailles and other locations in Paris," he said.

But in regards to the season content, Moore reveals that Season 2 of the show is going to be very different to Season 1. The first half will actually deal with Claire and Jamie in Paris, as they dealing with political corruptions and conspiracies and attempt to stop Culloden. This in turn will inevitably change history.

But it will end in Scotland where the season quickly turns into a war story. Most of the dramatic tension is about whether or not Claire will successfully change history, and more importantly, what effect that might have on the future, even her own future.
