Ecuador and Bolivia will resume their campaign in the 2015 Copa America as they are set to collide on Monday at the Estadio Elias Figueroa in Valparaiso, Chile.

Ecuador will look to bounce back from a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Chile in their first game of the tournament. Arturo Vidal gave Chile the lead off a penalty kick in the 67th minute, while Eduardo Vargas sealed the win with another goal in the 84th minute.

The setback against Chile extended Ecuador's losing streak in the tournament. They have not won a game in Copa America since 2001. A loss to Bolivia will put them on the verge of failing to progress to the next round again. They have not advanced beyond the group stage since reaching the final eight in 1997.

Ecuador coach Gustavo Quinteros is still optimistic, though, that they can bounce back after learning from their mistakes during their 2-0 loss to Chile.

"It was a game that helped us draw a lot of conclusions and will help us grow as a team during the tournament," Quinteros said in a news conference. "We struggled to settle for the first 20 minutes but after that we matched Chile and had two or three moments of danger. I am happy with the game from the first 20 or 30 minutes."

On the other hand, Bolivia will look to sustain their momentum after their confidence-boosting performance in their tournament opener.

Bolivia, who have not scored a win in the Copa America since 1997, held heavily favored Mexico to a scoreless draw on Friday at Estadio Sausalito in Viña del Mar.

Bolivia coach Mauricio Soria had nothing but praises for his squad for standing toe-to-toe with their more fancied rivals. The 49-year-old coach is hoping that their gallant stand against Mexico will help them earn the respect they think they deserve despite their 18-year drought in the tournament.

"We believed that we had to try and win and we had three or four really good chances as the match developed," Soria told reporters. "We need to put an emphasis on our recovery as we put in a strong, physical effort. We will face Ecuador and Chile with courage."

History is not on their side, though, as they have not defeated Ecuador in their last 10 meetings. In their previous meeting in a friendly in September, Ecuador cruised to a 4-0 victory.
