The official trailer for the much-awaited flick is finally ready for viewing and it seems that it is best viewed with a box of tissue on the side.

The Fault in Our Stars' official advert was released in the January 29 episode of the 'Today' show, says Hollywood Life.

The makers of the movie initially posted a sneak peek video on The Fault in Our Stars' Instagram account, saying "TEASER ALERT: Catch a sneak peek at the #TFIOStrailer, and prepare for a rush of #feels tomorrow! #thefaultinourstars #film #tfiosmovie #trailer."

The post instantly alarmed the movie adaptation's horde of fans who were scrambling to get hold of the full official trailer posted on Youtube.

The Fault in Our Stars tells the story of Hazel (Shailene Woodley) and Augustus aka Gus (Ansel Elgort), who met each other in a child cancer support group, says The Hollywood Reporter. Needless to say, both have their own illness with Hazel diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Augustus' overflowing love for Hazel is evident in the trailer, with him telling Woodley's character how maintaining distance away from him won't lessen his affection to the cancer-stricken young lady.

Hazel argues with Augustus, explaining to him that she is a "grenade." "One day I'm going to blow up and I'm going to obliterate everything in my wake and I don't want to hurt you," Woodley's character said in the trailer. Nevertheless, Hazel still unwillingly falls for Gus.

Although the pair is all lovey-dovey in the upcoming tear-jerker, Woodley and Elgort actually play the role of siblings in the movie 'Divergent.' The film is slated to hit theatres a good three months before The Fault in Our Stars comes to waiting fans.

Gus and Hazel's story will be shown on the big screen come June 6 of this year and also stars Nat Wolff, Willem Dafoe, Laura Dern and many others, says IMDb.
