Microsoft might just be breaking norms with a rumored one-of-a-kind Xbox One White and according to a NeoGaf forum post, the new console version will be out October.

The Verge earlier reported on an all new white Xbox One captured in an image posted by Reddit user Kinect10DLL 5 months ago. "Friend works on the Xbox team. Those lucky b**tards," the post read.

It turns out that the white Xbox One was then an employee-only exclusive, with the phrase "I made this" engraved on the front of the console.

Based on the photo, the "Xbox One Employee Ship Gift" includes the Xbox One Special Edition White, one year of Xbox Live and all 1P games. And since it's a gift, it's all for free.

The Verge has gotten in touch with the Xbox-maker and the white console is confirmed to be genuine. As for Microsoft mass-producing the supposedly unique console for employees, Major Nelson remarked on Reddit, "maybe waaaay in the future."

And since 5 months ago is technically the past, the future could be now - or at least that's what one NeoGaf user thinks. "White Console plus Sunset Overdrive and a fancy ass controller in October. Also a limited edition 1TB box after that in November," the post read.

Should a white Xbox One truly come to the gaming industry, the release will chime in with the Xbox One's launch in 15 countries. According to The Verge in another report, the list of countries comprise of China, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Greece, Portugal, Slovakia, Turkey, Saudia Arabia, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Israel, India, Indonesia, and Egypt.

Aside from a white Xbox One release, The Verge also reports that Microsoft is rolling out a much needed patch come March.

The company's first major Xbox One dashboard update follows after numerous reported issues with the game console surfaced online including party-chat problems and issues with the usability and placement of the social features of the console, notes The Verge.
