When Apple updated its operating system to iOS 9.1, there were several bug fixes made and to the delight of many, brand new emojis. The update to iOS 9.1 also patched up the iOS 9 jailbreak.

Once iOS 9.1 patched up the iOS 9 jailbreak's exploits, it meant that iOS 9 jailbreakers could not update to iOS 9.1 without having their jailbreak disappear, Gotta be Mobile reports.

Since updating to iOS 9.1 will make the iOS 9 jailbreak inoperable, it is not advised for jailbreakers to update to iOS 9.1. Unfortunately, this means that the 150 brand new emojis would not be accessible to jailbreakers.

A tweak will solve the missing emojis in the iOS 9 jailbreak and allow jailbreakers to enjoy them. 

Here is the process to get the tweak for the iOS 9.1 emojis:

Go into Cydia and add a new repository to the repository list.

Tap the sources tab at the bottom of the screen, hit edit in the top right corner and then add. A text box will pop up and in this box type https://poomsmart.github.io/repo

Now press add and wait for the loading. Now go back into Cydia.

In the search tab, search for BytaFont2 and install it.

After BytaFont2 is installed, go back into Cydia and search for Emoji iOS 9.1 Backup (D) and install that one as well.

Now, exit out of Cydia and click on the BytaFont2 app that was installed earlier. Tap on the swap mode tab on the bottom of the screen and select emoji from the list and then tap Em0ji_iOS 9.1.

Finally, respring the device. Go back into Cydia and search for and install Emoji83+. Again respring the device and the process is complete.

Once a user goes into their keyboard and taps the emoji key, all of the new iOS 9.1 emojis should appear.
