Justin Bieber is scheduled to perform at "The Thanksgiving Day Parade" on CBS live from New York.

CBS reports the 21-year-old Canadian superstar will headline a televised lineup, which also includes portions of the 89th annual Macy's Parade and performances by Broadway productions of "Jersey Boys" and "Beautiful --The Carole King Musical."

Hosted by "Entertainment Tonight" personality Kevin Frazier, the event will also include special guest appearances by Wayne Brady and "The Good Wife" star Renee Elise Goldsberry.

The performance comes at an opportune time for Bieber, who just announced plans for a world tour to promote his new album "Purpose." All the good cheer associated with the holiday may be even more critical for Bieber, who recently admitted he constantly deals with bouts of depression.

"And I feel isolated," he said in a NME cover story scheduled to hit newstands on Friday, according to People Magazine. "You're in your hotel room and there are fans all around, paparazzi following you everywhere, and it gets intense. When you can't go anywhere or do anything alone you get depressed. I would not wish this upon anyone."

Bieber went as far as to claim his struggles make it easier for him to relate to tragic figures like Amy Winehouse, whose deadly struggles with fame and addiction are explored in the film "Amy."

"People see the glam and the amazing stuff, but they don't know the other side," he said. "This life can rip you apart. I watched the Amy Winehouse documentary on the plane and I had tears in my eyes because I could see what the media was doing to her."

Bieber attributed many of his struggles and legal problems to "rebelling against everybody and everything, and being a normal 19 year old."

In the end, the "Sorry" singer insisted he doesn't see himself as being much different from most people.

"I'm struggling just to get through the days," he said. "I think a lot of people are."
