The Golden State Warriors are looking to improve to 23-0 and match the 27-game winning streak set by the 2012-2013 Miami Heat as they visit the Indiana Pacers at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Tuesday night. The Pacers, on the other hand, would like to make a history of their own and end the best start in NBA history.

The Warriors can also become the first team to open an NBA season with 13 straight wins on the road. It won't be easy against Indiana's Paul George, who is the Eastern Conference's top scorer and one of the early MVP candidates.

The Warriors were tested again by the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday, but a big third quarter sealed a 114-98 win. Brooklyn came back from a 17-point deficit and even led by five in the third, until Stephen Curry scored 16 of his 28 points.

"Just trying to see if I could get some room and figure out a way to impact the game and things started to click," Curry said who sparked a 15-4 run to end the third quarter.

"It's one of our biggest strengths, is that we're never out of a game and we're always one little run away from putting a game away," interim head coach Luke Walton added. Draymond Green had 22 points, nine rebounds and seven assists while Klay Thompson added 21 points, three rebounds and three assists.

The Pacers are back from a four-game road trip, where they ended up with a 2-2 record after losing a hard-fought game against the Utah Jazz last Saturday. Paul George scored a career-high, 48 points, adding eight rebounds, three assists with three steals in the 122-119 overtime loss at the Vivint Smart Home Arena.

George barely had help from the rest of the Pacers with Rodney Stuckey being the only player to crack at least 20 points with 23 on the night. "I trust my teammates to make the right plays, but it just didn't turn out for us. It really hurts especially being up and not taking care of business to close," he said after the game.

"No question this one really stings. We played well enough to win. A couple of breakdowns late, a couple of rebounds we just didn't do enough to finish it. So it hurts," Pacers coach Frank Vogel added.

Harrison Barnes will miss his sixth straight game with an ankle injury and Brandon Rush is expected to start against his former team. The two teams split the season series last year with both of them winning on their home floors.

Tip-off starts at 7 p.m. ET and is nationally televised on NBA TV. It will be broadcasted in Canada via Sportsnet ONE, and locally on CSN Bay Area and FOX Sports Indiana.
