Final Fantasy 14 'Realm Reborn' PS4 Dates: Beta Ends April 7; PS3 and PC Transfer Available [Trailer]
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will finally be released on April 14, 2014 for PS4 consoles, something which has posed many questions to loyal gamers. Will they be able to transfer their accounts from PS3 to PS4? Will they be able to use existing characters in the new game? Is there a need for a new account or can they just start playing right away? These are some of the questions that have been brought up as tons of players are looking forward to the arrival of the new game.
The beta phase of the game has been going on for some time now. In fact, that first phase has already been done since last March 3. The second phase is still going on and will end on April 7. Those who can't wait for the release on the 14th and are willing to catch up with the beta phase may download the beta game directly from the PlayStation store. It was also mentioned that those who created their characters during the second beta phase may be able to bring the data to the retail version, but not those who created one during the first phase. Users of PS3 and PCs may be able to transfer character data to the PS4.
The transfer service will commence on April 11, 2014. However, before transferring the data to PS4, it is important to note that the PS3 version cannot be used anymore with the existing copy. Those who wish to play using PS3 and PS4 would have to purchase those items separately.
Gamers will surely love the features present in the FFXIV for PS4. The graphics are upgraded to 1080p. The sharing system has become more interesting. It is easy to stream gameplay and share screenshots in seconds. PS4 also has a mouse and keyboard support especially to those who wish to use the PC. It also has a Touchpad support. There are other exciting additions to the gameplay, and this includes two new raids, new dungeons, new primal to fight, treasure hunts, and new difficulty levels and a new main scenario for quests.
