"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" gets even more stunning with the upcoming Blood and Wine DLC pack. New images of Toussaint dropped on the official Twitter page, offering a peek at the sprawling landscape and vivid color of "The Witcher".

The photos are the first images from the much-awaited Expansion Pack. The Blood and Wine DLC will be set in the new region Toussaint, according to a report from GameSpot.

While developer CD Projekt Red has mostly kept mum on the new content for the best-selling "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt", they did divulge that the story will "take Geralt to a land untainted by war, where an atmosphere of carefree indulgence and knightly ritual masks an ancient, bloody secret."

Other features included in the upcoming patch are new gear, enemies, characters and around 20 hours of gameplay. It's an expansive new download, capping off a successful year for CD Projekt Red as referenced by game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz in an official statement in GameSpot.

"2015 is almost behind us," Tomaszkiewicz said. "It's a great year for open world games and a fantastic time for 'The Witcher'. A year of intense work for the team and a time filled with many personal victories for everyone involved in a project that received more than 300 awards so far (wow!). We overcame so many obstacles to get to this point, and we've always done it with gamers rooting for us. It's your year, too!"

He continued, "Blood and Wine, the second expansion for 'The Witcher 3,' is on the horizon. It's a massive new land to explore, visually unlike anything you saw in Wild Hunt or Hearts of Stone, and it too is brimming with stories we want you to discover."

Certainly, CD Projekt Red is closing 2015 on a high note. According to a report from the Los Angeles Times, the company recently emerged as a star in The Game Awards, where they took home three awards for their work including Developer of the Year for their efforts. The group also won Game of the Year and Best Role-Playing Game for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt."

They're looking to continue their winning streak in their new game in development, "Cyberpunk 2077." In an interview with Polish TV station TVN24 BiS via Gamepressure, co-CEO Adam Kicinski said, "The project is even more ambitious than we first planned (...) we need to create a game that will be even more successful."

"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" Blood and Wine expansion is expected to be released in the first half of 2016.
