The unending speculations on the rift between Konami and "Metal Gear" creator Hideo Kojima has resurfaced after former Square Enix president Yoichi Wada revealed his feelings towards their rift, Kotaku reports.

Apparently, Wada thinks that Konami has not treated Kojima in a good way and what the company is currently doing is definitely not good for business. Wada believes that the lack of leadership is the root of all the problems rising between Konami and Hideo Kojima. He also condemns Konami for treating the "Metal Gear" creator in a cruel way.

Wada also mentioned how Konami has started to consider leaving the consoles and develop games for mobile phones. He said, "Generally, this kind of things happens when there's a lack of leadership. I think, perhaps, there isn't someone in charge who is paying attention and laying out all the little details for the whole enterprise."

Meanwhile, VG24/7 reports that Konami has long denied their transition to the mobile platform saying, "We're still definitely working on console games and franchises such as Metal Gear, Silent Hill, Castlevania, PES and all the rest."

As Wada stated, via Kotaku, the other thing that really delivers the problem to Konami is their passing of responsibility to administrators instead of actually having someone from the team to address the issues.

Konami's customer support said that the company is still dedicated on building their portfolio in terms of arcade, consoles and card games. Recently, Kotaku reported that during Sony's Annual Play Station Awards ceremony, Kojima was noticeably absent. His own project, the "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" won the User's Choice Award and the Platinum Prize. Instead of Kojima coming up to the stage, a PR representative from Konami went up to receive the award.

In another Kotaku report, host Geoff Keighley said that Kojima was barred by Konami lawyers from attending the awards show. Despite Kojima's intention to attend the night's event, Konami still had the upper hand and did not allow the creator to attend.

Keighley added, "He's still under an employment contract. And it's disappointing and inconceivable to me that an artist like Hideo would not be allowed to come here and celebrate with his peers and his fellow teammates."

What do you think of Konami's treatment to Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima? Do you believe that he has been treated less than the way he's supposed to?
