If the end of Xbox is coming, it won't be anytime soon. And it won't be happening in Phil Spencer's watch either. The Xbox head declared there's going to be another console after the current generation, saying the team remains "100 percent committed" to it.

According to the report from The Verge, the main problem of Xbox One as a console was the company's lack of focus on the actual games upon its launch in 2013. Microsoft has been second-best since behind Sony's PlayStation 4, but the problem was quickly remedied with new installments of top franchises such as "Halo" and "Killer Instinct."

The company even went one step further in providing games for their fans by debuting the backwards compatibility feature, allowing the players to experience Xbox 360 titles in their new consoles. This new feature was part of the New Xbox One Experience, which also introduced the integration of Windows 10 on the console.

As Windows 10 expands into endless devices, game developers are now creating titles for the system. The line between consoles and other systems may be starting to blur, so it's natural to wonder if this is the beginning of the end of Microsoft's Xbox division.

"No," Spencer firmly responded in The Verge. "I fully expect that you'll see another console from us...Our best customers are Xbox console customers, and I want to keep those people engaged both on the Xbox One and anything we might do in the future. I'm 100 percent committed to that."

He added, "I don't want to dilute what the Xbox console customer feels. I want to expand what we're able to do for more customers."

Instead of phasing out the Xbox platform, the inclusion of the Windows 10 gaming experience is more of an expansion to users of other devices.

"I love that console experience," Spencer explained. "It's obviously the core of what Xbox is about, and Xbox One is our most important gaming device inside the company. There's no doubt about that. We also know there are millions and millions of gamers who access Microsoft [in other ways,] whether it's Windows, their phone, Skype -- it could be many different things every day."

"As head of gaming inside of Microsoft, I think about how we make sure that all of those customers feel as supported and engaged as the Xbox fans do who own a game console."

While the next console may be years away, the buzz around the purported "Xbox Two" is growing every day. According to a report from N4BB, the rumors swirling around say that the new console is already in development and set to be released in 2019.
