A DLC based on a previous joke made by Dying Light's game developer is arriving next year. Techland announces the official release date.

Attack of the Fanboy explained that months ago, Techland made fun of Bungie's game Destiny when it partnered with Red Bull as part of its promotion to offer exclusive game DLC to US players. To spoof the strange promotion, the Dying Light developer asked fans to take a photo of themselves drinking a glass of water, post it on Twitter and include #DrinkForDLC in their caption to be able to get their own free content.

Just recently, Techland revealed what players can get from this free content. Initially announced in September, the latest details about #DrinkForDLC revealed that it comes in three parts and revolves around the water theme.

For instance, this free DLC will give players The Fountain of Youth. Accordingly, it is an exploration-based quest set in Old Town.

Another item to look forward after getting the #DrinkForDLC is Water 2.0, a blueprint for a throwable weapon which "intensifies the electrocution effect of all other weapons." There are also two new parkour challenges provided in this DLC, which are both water-themed.

According to GameSpot, this water-based DLC will be launched alongside Dying Light: The Following Enhanced Edition. The official release date is set for Feb. 9, 2016, and it is coming for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Co-optimus reported that the Enhanced Edition is priced at $59.99. It brings in The Following expansion pack as well as various game modes such as Bozak Horde Mode, Be the Zombie mode, Cuisine and Cargo mode.

Moreover, the Enhanced Edition offers the Ultimate Survivor Bundle together with the other updates and bonus contents for the game.

"It's the most zombie-littered parkour experience to date," Co-optimus noted.

Enhanced Edition comes with a "brand-new Legend system, improved visuals, major gameplay enhancements, and more," the description on the official site read. Watch the reveal trailer for Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition below, originally posted on the game's official YouTube channel:

According to the official website, Dying Light, initially released on Jan. 27, 2015, is an "action survival game presented in the first-person perspective and set in a vast and dangerous open world."
