Could Captain America make an appearance in a future Iron Man movie?

At this point, the answer is that it definitely could happen. But will it actually be on the table?

Actor Chris Evans hinted that he would love to make an appearance in the fourth installment of the Iron Man series, all but confirming that his beloved character will not suffer his demise in the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War."

"I'd be happy to be in an Iron Man movie," Evans stated according to Cinema Blend. "We've been in so many movies together, the titles are almost, at this point, inconsequential. We all win!

In the upcoming "Civil War," the two major heroes and leaders of the Avengers duke it out over whether or not superheroes should be registered with the government. With such a full-scale war between not only these two, but two large factions of heroes, there is the idea that one of them could potentially bite the dust at some point.

However, if Evans is suggesting that the two men meet again in "Iron Man 4," then there is no way that his character will die in this film. And if there is going to be an "Iron Man 4," then it is likely that Tony Stark is alive and kicking by the end of the "Civil War."

What would be interesting about this scenario is the state of the relationship heading into a potential "Iron Man 4." Will the Civil War be at an end? Will the two men renew their friendship and form a deep bond? Will there still be some lingering tension?

Moreover, how many other superheroes would show up in a potential "Iron Man 4" movie?

Of course, the big question is ultimately whether there is ever going to be a fourth installment. According to Cinema Blend, Robert Downey Jr. has been noncommittal on whether or not he wants to be involved with the character for much longer.

"Civil War" hits cinemas on May 6, 2016.
