Michael Jordan recently hosted his 2014 Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational Golf Tournament (MJCI) in Las Vegas. The charity event, which has raised more than $7 million since it began in 2001, brings celebrities, both of sport and entertainment, together for four days of golf and other fun activities. This year, the charity's beneficiaries were Make-A-Wish, the James R. Jordan Foundation, Cats Care, Keep Memory Alive and Opportunity Village, according to the tournament's website.

However, something that the website forgot to mention was Jordan's exemplary shot during the third round of the tournament. According to the Bleacher Report, the basketball star sinks a 50-foot chip at the 17th hole. The shot surprised everyone, including Jordan, who hollered excitedly and high-fived the other players afterwards.

But, none other than Charles Barkley is also accusing the former Chicago Bulls player of being cheap. While on Conan O'Brien's show, Barkley named Jordan along with Tiger Woods and Scottie Pippen as celebrities who are very tightfisted, according to Sports Illustrated.

"There's nobody cheaper than Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan," Barkley said on the air. "Oh yeah, [Jordan is] cheap. I always give homeless people money and he will always slap my hand [and tell me], 'If they can ask you for spare change, they can say, "Welcome to McDonald's, can I help you, please?"'"

According to SI, the topic came up when O'Brien and Barkley began discussing tipping. Apparently, neither of three men Barkley mentioned are very good tippers despite their wealth.

"I think it's important when you're successful, the waiter, the waitresses, the blackjack dealers, they work extremely hard, they don't get a great salary," Barkley told O'Brien. "The more successful you are, the more you should tip, I truly believe that. ... I never went overboard. I tipped $25,000 before. I won about $700,000 at a blackjack. You have to tip. I probably should have tipped more to be honest with you."

"I think that's why [Woods and Jordan are] rich," Barkley added. "They don't tip. That's their secret to being rich, they don't tip."
