'The Originals' Season 3 Episode 9 Recap: Cami and Klaus Finally Kiss Before She is Killed in The Midseason Finale
The midseason finale of "The Originals" ended with a huge cliffhanger that left fans wondering whether or not Cami is gone for good.
Thursday's holiday-themed episode, "Savior," was filled with cheer, fighting and death. It marked the return of Claire Holt's Rebekah to New Orleans. However, she was nearly driven insane by a mark on her wrist that caused her to try to kill the people that she loved, reports E! News. As a result, she asked her brother Elijah to daggered her yet again.
On a brighter note, Hayley and Jackson came to a reconciliation in their year-long marriage after Hayley professed her love for her husband.
"My feelings for Elijah are complicated," she admitted at the beginning of the episode, "but that doesn't mean that I love you any less, Jack. I chose you, and I choose you again every single day. Can't that be enough?" she said, according to TVLine. Eventually, Jackson was able to find some common ground with his wife.
The most surprising twist of the night occurred at the end of the episode when Cami and Klaus shared a passionate kiss and intimate night together. However, following their intense make-out session, Klaus woke up the next morning to discover that Cami's throat had been slashed in her sleep.
"Here's to an even better tomorrow," said Klaus' ex-girlfriend Aurora as Klaus cried out in agony after finding that his beloved Cami was dead.
Furthermore, Vincent kept his word and stepped up as the new regent of New Orleans, not knowing what type of strings would be attached to the powerful position.
Meanwhile, Tristan, who possesses the Finn necklace, informed Vincent that he would now be his servant.
Season 3 of "The Originals" will return on Friday, Jan. 29 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
