WWE Superstar Roman Reigns has been using a tactical gear as his ring attire since he was a member of The Shield. His entrance theme is also just a modified version of The Shield's, but according to several reports, WWE is considering changing Reigns' appearance and entrance music.

In a report by All Wrestling News, it all started with the Nov. 13 Paris attacks that left 130 people dead and more than a hundred injured. WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, who is still all in on Reigns as the next face of the company, did not like the idea and eventually nixed it.

However, there was again a shooting incident last Dec. 2 in San Bernardino, California, where 14 people were killed and 22 injured. It was an Islamic extremism-inspired terrorist mass shooting and attempted bombing at the Inland Regional Center.

Some people in the WWE backstage are saying that if another terrorist attack happens, it will be a bad image for Reigns as the face of the company to be wearing tactical gear while emerging from the crowd. McMahon is still against the change as they have invested so much time and effort on Reigns.

The report notes that the WWE is still going with Reigns' look and attire, hoping that the casual fan won't see the connection of the tactical gear to the SWAT or even the Navy Seal. Bleacher Report suggests in an earlier report that Reigns have to distance his character from The Shield, just like Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.

When Rollins turned heel, he moved away from The Shield gimmick by changing his attire. He became a clever and cunning villain that would do everything he needed to retain his championship. His character had been compared to Edge as an ultimate opportunist.

Ambrose also became a distinct character and became "The Lunatic Fringe," an unpredictable and unstable superstar. He is a wild and rebellious character with no real goals but to create havoc against his enemies much like "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

Reigns just lost to WWE champion Sheamus in a TLC match at the PPV of the same name on Sunday. After the match, he went crazy and destroyed everything from the announce table to Triple H.

It was a great way to change his attitude so that more fans will back him up, especially that he continues to feud with The Authority to regain the WWE world heavyweight title. However, Inquisitr notes that if WWE eventually plans to change Reigns' appearance, it will be easier if he will just turn heel and have him change his look without any problems.
