If you currently own a Nokia Asha, you can expect the WhatsApp application to experience some improvements on some of its features.

According to NeuroGadget, the latest WhatsApp update 2.13.26 is designed for Nokia Asha as well as other phones that currently run on Symbian 40. Although the WhatsApp Update has not given the Asha any new features other than the expected emojis, which really haven't been integrated on the phone, the new WhatsApp 2.13.26 will cover more of the bug fixes and some enhancement on the app's features.

Unfortunately, only devices that are supported by Windows, iOS, Android and Blackberry 10 currently enjoys the voice calling feature. WhatsApp voice call for the Nokia Asha remains unavailable to this day. However, in order to experience WhatsApp better on your Nokia Asha phone, it is still advisable to download the latest WhatsApp Update 2.13.26 on your device. This will not only improve the physical appearance of the app, but it will also deliver a better experience in using it.

In order to completely download the app, you may need to uninstall the current WhatsApp version on your device. After uninstalling it, open the Nokia Asha browser and visit whatsapp.com/s40. Once you're in the page, you will see an icon that asks you to download the latest version of the app. Once you click it, the app will be downloaded and installed on your mobile phone. Some devices require you to restart your phone upon installation while others automatically log you off. Once it's turned on, you will be prompted to log in to your WhatsApp account again and start using the newly updated app.

NeuroGadget, however, warns consumers who use the WhatsApp app due to recent issues that its download is connected to an online malware. Singapore consumers, who use Samsung devices in particular, have been mostly affected by the malware. The unsuspecting consumer will download what seems like a legitimate update from WhatsApp, but once the link is accessed, various pop-ups will appear, prompting the user to stop the download, not knowing that it is still running on the background. Malware such as this has the ability to steal personal information from the user, such as credit card numbers, addresses, bank account numbers and other confidential information.
