Although there have been many references to the past in "Ash vs Evil Dead," the next episode will really start to bring the old movies into the show. There is no doubt that the next episode will bring the show to even more nostalgic places than the previous ones.

Episode 8 is titled "Ashes to Ashes" and will air on premium cable channel Starz this Saturday, Dec. 19 at 9 p.m. EST, according to TV Guide.

There was plenty that took place last week when the group of three became a group of four and the heroes all got blindsided by a militia, which turned deadly for them as well. But now the series is going to take its action-packed gory roots and bring them back for more nightmares to come.

According to Spoilers Guide, Ash is going to try a Hail Mary and end the evil once and for all. That might seem like a long shot, but fans of the franchise should remember that this is not his first rodeo and he has beat it before.

The problem here is that Ash has a past and now, that past has caught up with him. Or at last he has to catch up with it in order to beat the Deadites at their own game.

In his quick, selfish attempt to end the evil, he must go head to head with his nightmares of the past and find the common thread that puts the dead back in their place and rid the world of Deadites forever. The more he tries though, the more he realizes that each time he survived and beat them it came down to either pure luck, or help from someone else.

Amanda Fisher will also get to witness firsthand a change that goes through Ash and this is something that will horrify her.
