Dwight Howard is reportedly unhappy in Houston because of Rockets superstar James Harden. And according to NBA analyst Chris Sheridan, the former All-Star could be traded before the deadline in February.

Sheridan reported that Howard is "extremely unhappy" in Houston because he is playing second fiddle to Harden. Howard could eventually ask for a trade and Sheridan believes the Miami Heat could be his landing spot.

The report pointed out that Howard could be sent to Miami in exchange for a package involving emerging star Hassan Whiteside and other players.

Whiteside, who is averaging 12.1 points and 10.5 points on top of 4.0 blocks per game this season, will become a free agent in the offseason and could walk away by signing a lucrative deal elsewhere.

"No place would be a better fit for Howard than Miami, with its geriatric roster built around Wade and Chris Bosh," Sheridan noted. "If you are Riley, and your two best players are in their 30s, why not add a third 30-something and take a swing at Cleveland with that? It not only is plausible, it is reasonable."

On Tuesday, Jonathan Feigen of Houston Chronicles reached out to Howard about the report about his discontent in Houston. The veteran center, who averaged 12.6 points and 11.6 rebounds on top of 1.8 blocks and 1.7 assists in his first 20 games this season, denied that he is unhappy of his role.

"I haven't said anything to anybody about anything," Howard said. "People make up lies and rumors. I'm trying to get these guys to play better and myself to play better. People say what they got to say to get a story out."

However, Dan Feldman of NBC Sports also said that the Rockets should consider trading Howard before the deadline. He pointed out that they could also lose Howard without getting anything in return next summer because the former All-Star could opt out of his contract.

Feldman added that trading Howard will not hurt the Rockets a lot because they already have a possible starting center in Clint Capela. The 21-year-old, who has started in 14 of 25 games this season, is averaging 8.0 points on 60.8 percent shooting to go along with 6.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game.

It should be noted that Howard previously had issues playing alongside another superstar. Howard played for the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2012-13 season but eventually bolted out via free agency because of his strained relationship with Kobe Bryant. Howard and Bryant even exchanged words during one of the Lakers-Rockets matches after the split.
