Media mogul Oprah Winfrey acquires a sprawling Telluride Ski estate.

Winfrey, the former talkshow host of "The Oprah Winfrey Show," has purchased the vacation worthy Colorado property for $14 million, Variety reported. The said real estate asset was initially asking for $15 million, six years ago, noted the blog. Thus, Winfrey had bought it at the right time to save her a million dollars. Its previous owner was reportedly tech entrepreneur Bob Wall, the founder of On Point Developments LLC, according to Bloomberg.

Winfrey's ski expansive chalet resting on 3.23 acres of land, covers 8,706 square feet and features 5 bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms. The high-end retreat place displays a cozy living room, a formal dining room, a sky-lit cooking station that comes with a casual dining area, an interesting family room that duals as the movie viewing area and a sleek residential office. The abode also displays what is described as a "Disney-esque wine tunnel" that comes with "rugged wood beams" and some "lantern light fixtures."

The former morning show personality will find delight with her master suite which is just adjacent to her private study. The suite comes with a custom-designed jetted tub worth $70,000.

Notable interiors include high ceilings, a wood burning fireplace, formal-themed living spaces and state-of-the-art modern furnishing and accents.

Outdoors, a heated driveway and motor court will accommodate several cars conveniently, even during "the snowiest of conditions."

This is not the only property she purchased in the area. In March 2014, she dropped an undeveloped spread for $110.85 million, which sits just near this ski home, the outlet informed.

In other areas, she also bought some estates like in Nashville, Montecito, downtown Chicago and on the Hawaiian island of Maui, noted Variety.

Winfrey continues to soar high

Even though her daytime show ended in 2011 after its 25th year on air, per TV.com, she continues to achieve financial success. According to Forbes, she is on the 211th spot of Forbes 400 richest people in America, with a net worth of $3.2 billion. She currently owns a four-year old cable network, OWN, which is successful courtesy of projects in partnership with director Tyler Perry like "The Haves And The Have Nots" and "If Loving You Is Wrong," noted Forbes.

More than the money, Winfrey enjoys the freedom her life offers her now.

"I love the way my life has opened up. My definition of real freedom comes from the movie 'Beloved,' where the character Sethe that I played says, 'Freedom is waking up in the morning and deciding for yourself what to do with the day.' Imagine that," Winfrey told Variety in her interview in October.
