Niall Horan said during a recent interview with talk show host James Corden that he would "marry" Selena Gomez. The former Disney star, who has been rumored to be dating the One Direction singer, is said to be totally flattered with his proposition.

Gomez, 23, reportedly thinks of Horan, 22, as husband material. So she has no complaints when it comes to tying the knot with him, a source told Hollywood Life.

"Selena was super flattered by what Niall said about wanting to marry her. In her opinion, Niall is total marriage material," the source said.

The insider likewise hinted the high chances of the pair walking down the aisle and added, "They are in a really good place right now and looking forward to bringing in the new year together."

Horan and Gomez are reportedly going strong in their relationship. When they are not together, they make sure to communicate. The Hollywood Life source said they Skype and text each other 24/7.

The source's claims came after Horan's confession during a "Carpool Karaoke" appearance on "The Late Late Show with James Corden." The video below shows the One Direction boys, including Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson, enjoying a fun ride of singing and a bit of dancing with Corden inside his car. Horan is seated next to Corden at the front seat, with the show host at the wheel.

There's a question-and-answer portion in "Carpool Karaoke" where Corden asks his guests which among the names he mentions they would marry, sleep or go on a cruise with. Horan was asked which among Gomez, actress Tina Fey and fellow artist Demi Lovato he would choose for the categories.

Horan responded, "Sleep with Tina Fey, marry Selena Gomez, go on a cruise with Demi Lovato." The singer's reply came amid speculations that she and the "Hands To Myself" singer are in a romantic relationship.

The pair has been spotted hanging out together with friends after the American Music Awards (AMAs) in November. They were seen by fans enjoying a roller coaster ride early in December. It's believed they were also caught showing a lot of PDA during Jena Dewan-Tatum's birthday bash at Bootsy Bellows in Los Angeles.

However, Gomez has since denied the rumors. The singer told Entertainment Online on the red carpet at the "Billboard 10th Annual Women in Music" event in New York City that she and Horan are not dating.

"Oh my god! No. I love him, I always have. He's amazing," she said.
